Fancy Bella Butterfly Gift Box

Carol here today wth a project created with the gorgeous Fancy Bella Butterfly die.  It's. mounted on a Laughing Cow Cheese box.   The beauty of nature can be such an inspiration for crafting.  Simple everyday things we take for granted can inspire us when we take a moment to study the intricacies.  The other day I was watching some Monarch butterflies and really wanted to create one.  I love the beautiful orange and yellow color with black outline.
To create this butterfly, cut out your Fancy Bella Butterfly die on black cardstock.  Take the die and trace it on watercolor paper and cut it out to fit to the underside of the black die cut Bella Butterfly.  You will want to cut away any "extra" areas that do not compliment the butterfly shape.  To create the gradient color, use distress inks in Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and a  touch of Barn Door towards the bottom of the butterfly.  Paint this piece with glue and sprinkle with Stickles Diamond Dry Fine Glitter over the top and let dry.  Once this has dried, mount the black butterfly cutout on top and you have your beautiful Monarch Butterfly ready for your project.  It's super gorgeous.
Once you have your butterfly done you can pair it with these beautiful Sizzix Sunflowers and you have yourself a show stopping box for your gift presentation.   Thank you so much for stopping by today to view my project.  It's really appreciated.  Until next time, Happy Crafting.  Here is list of products for this project:

Little Tags with Sentiments

Hi all. Vladka here!
Today I have two little tags for you, which can be hanged somewhere or can be used like tags on gifts.
Little frames are cut out from kraft paper (you can use also white cardstock) with Tropical Frame die, for each tag twice. Here are all the supplies I used: Tropical Frame die cuts (two for one tag), White Tempera, little sponge, Embossing powder, VersaMark stamp pad and two black cardstock pieces for one tag. Please, click on the photo, to see close up.
I cut off little branches inside of the frames and then colored them with white tempera and put them aside to dry.
I also prepared two black cardstock pieces which were slightly smaller as frames and embossed sentiment on one of them.
Then I glued individual black piece on the individual back side of the frame.  After that I glued two frames together on back sides, so that the front and the back side of the tag look nice. The only different is, that on the front there is a sentiment and on the back side is empty black cardstock.
To get the chalkboard look, I added white ink here and there and for little color I put little red heart on each tag. Than I make little holes and put the twine through.
This is it from my side for today. I wish you all great week!

CottageCutz Mushroom House /All Occasion Cards

Cheryl here today to share another set of Gift Cards I have been working on this past week. For this set I used the Darling CottageCutz Mushroom House.

For this die cut, I used white Card stock and then colored the house using copic markers. I thought it would be cute to have it colored in different colors. Lastly I added some buttons for my embellishments.

CottageCutz Parrot and Hibiscus

Hello everyone.  It's a tropical paradise on this CottageCutz card today.  Don't you just love this beautiful Parrot die.  He was cut on watercolor paper and then painted with Twinkling H20's.  Finding different ways to color these die cuts is so much fun.  From Copic's, to chalk and distress ink, to painting you have different fun mediums to use to bring your dies to life.
For the embellishments on this card the Hibiscus Flower die was used from Cottagecutz.  They were painted with Twinkling H20's as well.  It reminds me so much of the lush tropical flowers that grow abundantly here in the South.
A perfect summertime card for just saying "Hello" or wishing someone a wonderful vacation.  Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to check out all the wonderful dies in the "Tropical Release".  They're perfect for your summertime creations.  Until next time.....Happy Crafting.  See you soon.  Here are the dies used:

CottageCutz Seahorse

Hello Everyone!  It's Carol here today.  Where do you get your inspiration?  Great questions right.  Inspiration comes from everyday things.  It might be anything, nature, food, clothes, magazines, people, the internet!  The inspiration for this card came from a Dragonfly that I saw when I was in the pool last weekend.  That dragonfly was the color of these Seahorses from CottageCutz.  I had never seen a dragonfly that color and I was just so amazed.  I knew I just had to try the color.
I cut the CottageCutz Seahorse on watercolor paper.  To achieve this beautiful color, I distress inked the seahorses with ripe persimmon and barn door distress ink and placed crystal stickles on the top.  They are so pretty layered on this label die.  For the wave border, just cut on white cardstock, paint with glitter and you have yourself a sparkly border.

Thank you so much so much for visiting today.  Hope you take time to find your inspiration for your next project in your everyday activities.  Until next time.  Happy Crafting.  See you soon.  Here are the dies used:
