Be Merry

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I have a fun and festive card to share for my design team post.  I went with a non-traditional color theme for this Christmas card.
I used a total of 4 different die sets to cut out all the pieces for my card.   The snowflakes are from the Santa Over Christmas Town set and the reindeer is from the Silly Holiday Reindeer die set.  I opted to use the Springtime Window for my card even though the reindeer coordinates with the Winter Window which I used on this card.  The Icicle Border was the final die piece for my card.
The reindeer was nestled inside the window and icicle border was trimmed on the edge to fit along the window sill.  I stamped a sentiment from the APB Merry and Bright stamp set on a hand cut flag.
I created my card base with a non traditional color theme which definitely has a winter vibe.  The snowflakes were scattered on the base of my card.
The reindeer and window was the next element added to my card. The window was adorned with the icicle border completing the winter scene.
The sentiment was placed below the larger snowflake as the finishing touch on my card.
Here are the dies used on my card available in the store:

Peeking Reindeer

Hi!

It's Anja here. It's starting to get cold outside and slowly we'll be staying inside a lot more. Like this cute reindeer I did for today's card.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Silly Holiday Reindeer, Springtime Window, Snowy Tree),
- Distress Inks,
- craft card base (12x18 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts and background (11,5x17,5 cm and 11x17 cm),
- pencil,
- scalpel,
- scissors,
- stone effect spray,
- heat gun, brick stencil,
- white pigment ink,
- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the reindeer.

Then the window and the tree.

Next was the background. First trimmed the paper and then sprayed it to give it stone like look. I dried it with the heat gun.

Then I used the stencil to make the background look like a brick wall.

Next I cut the hole for the window. I used brown around the edges.

Next I trimmed another a bit bigger paper for the background and a strip of white paper for the snowy ground. I used scissors for this and blue ink to color around the edges.

And then I just glued all the pieces together and my card was done.

I wish you all a nice Sunday and see you again next week.

Little Princess

Hi!

It's Anja here. I made another card using new Magical Fantasy Designs. I combined it with a few older dies and made a card for a little princess.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Little Princess & Roses, Princess Dress-Up, Springtime Window, Ivy, Dogwood Branch),
- Distress Inks (Pumice Stone, Vintage Photo, Mustard Seed, Spun Sugar, Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick, Mowed Lawn, Tattered Rose, Shabby Shutters),
- white card base (21x10 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts and background,
- grey card stock for background,
- bricks embossing folder,
- white pigment ink,
- gold pigment ink,
- black pen,
- cutting knife,
- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the window.

Next I cut and colored the sentiment.

Then the flowers and the princess.

And last ivy leaves ...

... and two branches with flowers.

Next was the background. I cut and embossed two pieces of grey paper (10x3,5 cm). I used white pigment ink to color the bricks.

Next I cut and embossed white piece of paper (10x14 cm). I cut a square out of it using a cutting knife.

And when I had everything cut  and colored I arranged all the pieces and glued it on the card base. And my card was made.

This is all from me for today.

Have a nice Sunday.

Window Shelf with Plants

Hi!

It's Anja again. We're having holidays here in Slovenia and it's so good to have a few days off of work. I'm actually going on a vacation for a few days to get some much needed rest and get some new energy that will hopefully last till summer :)

I made a card today, using Shelf w/ Plants die from a Llamas & Botanical release. But you should also go and check the new Mother's day release that's already available in the store and you can get it for 25 % off. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive and I look forward to use it in my next project.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Shelf w/ Plant, Springtime Window),
- Distress Oxides (Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade, Forest Moss, Wild Honey, Evergreen Bough, Gathered Twigs, Peeled Paint, Black Soot, Walnut Stain, Aged Mahogany, Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves),
- craft card base (15x15 cm),
- white cards stock for background (14x14 cm) and die cuts,
- embossing folder (bricks),
- adhesive foam pads,
- pen,
- scissors,
- paper glue.

First I die cut the window and colored it with Distress Oxides. I put adhesive foam pads to the left and right side of the open window to add dimension.

I cut the shape of the window with scissors. I glued the window on top, so when you look through the window it looks like the wall in smooth.

Then I cut and colored the shelf and the plants. I also used adhesive foam pads to glue it in front of the window.

I cut white card stock for the background and embossed it with embossing folder. I used Distress Oxide Vintage Photo for the edges.

When I had everything cut and colored I just glued the pieces on craft card stock. And this is my finished card.

Have a nice Sunday and I'll be back in a week.

Friends

Hi!

It's Anja here. My inspiration for today
's card were little kittens that we currently have at home. They are so cute and like to cuddle a lot. So I made a card with cats on it. They are chatting like friends always do.

I used:
- Cottage Cutz Dies (Friends Phrase, Kitty with Spring Chicks, Sweet Spring Kitty, Flowerpot Mini, Springtime Window, Grass Trees & Vines, Spring Bunny w/Flowers),
- Distress Inks (Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain, Wild Honey, Black Soot, Pumice Stone, Scattered Straw),
- Distress Oxides (Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo, Fired Brick, Walnut Stain, Worn Lipstick),
- white card base (20 x 16 cm),
- white paper (19,8 x 15,8 cm and 19,5 x 15,5 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts,
- Nuvo Crystal Drops (Dandelion Yellow),

- adhesive foam pads,
- embossing folder,
- glue,

- black and white pen.

First I die cut all the pieces. Both cats and the window are rather big, that's why I needed to cut them first and then adjust the size of the card base. I colored the pieces with Distress Inks and Oxides. I used blending foams for adding color. I also used little make up sponge applicator to add stripes on both cats.

I finished the flowers with some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Then I cut the card base which is larger than usual (21 x 16 cm). I also cut two larger white rectangles. I cut a hole in the smaller one (for the window) and embossed it with an embossing folder to make it look like the outside of the house. I lightly used Scattered Straw Distress Ink on top to add some color. I also added red Oxide ink around the edges of the middle sized rectangle.

When I had all the pieces finished I started to glue them together. I started with the cat behind the window. I glued the embossed paper with adhesive foam pads. And then added all the other elements on top.

And for the end, one of my cute inspirations. The other two were to fast for me and my camera :)

Have a nice and sunny Sunday.

Anja Z.
