There's No Place Like Home

Hi, Janja is here with you.
Today I want to show you two cards with cute houses from Magical Garden release.

- CottageCutz dies: Cottage w/Petal Roof, Mushroom House
- white card base: 4.25" x 5.5" (10,8 x 14 cm), folded
- patterned paper: 4" x 5.20" (10,2 x 13,2 cm)
- colored cardstock
- colored ink pads
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape, self-adhesive foam pads

I think that both houses are the perfect main image. So I decided to create a simpler scene. I used the same layout on both cards.

First start by die-cutting houses from colored cardstock. Color the edges with colored ink pads.
Cut the grass from a piece of green cardstock.

Trim two rectangles from a patterned paper and paste them on cards front.
On each background stamp a sentiment.

Now it's time to begin assembling the cards.

Completed cards.

Thanks for stopping here and happy crafting.

DT Samples w/Magic Garden Dies (Day 4)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards for the next week from our brand new Magic Garden release.

There are 14 new dies in the Magic Garden release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.  If you love fairies, fairy gardens, gnomes and flowers, you will love these dies.

We want to give you some creative ideas for using the dies. So let's get started with the cards for today.

Sample 1:  Our first sample today is one that I (Mary Marsh) created. I used the Sweet Fairy die to send some magical fairy dust & kisses along to my sweet niece. I intended this to be a birthday card and the inside sentiment will be ….and sweet birthday wishes.
Although with the sentiment on the card front it doesn't have to be limited to birthdays, it could also be used as a special way to say hello.
I thought the rainbow patterned paper complemented the enchanted fairy scene nicely and a few sequins completed the card.

Sample 2:  Our next sample today is from Sukie Dhillon. She used the Mushroom House die to create a sweet housewarming card. Her patterned paper choice complements the playful house image well. The sentiment she used communicates a heartfelt message in such a whimsical way. How fun to celebrate with someone the special occasion of moving into a house and making it a home.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope we have given you some ideas on ways to use the new dies. Stop by again tomorrow for more amazing samples from the team.

Mushroom House

Hi, all! Vladka here!
When I'm not in the perfect mood to create a card or I don't have much time, I like to create simple one. Clean and simple cards are special and they are always good challenge to say something with little stuff.
So, I used this cute little Mushroom House die and cut it out twice: with white and red cardstock and glued everything together. Background was created with water, brush and green and blue Distress inks. For final touch I added sentiment and card was finished.
I hope you like it.
Have a great weekend!
